Jeryy BeckerJerry Becker, CAE, HTCP/I, QM

Jerry has been a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner since 2003, and is a Level 1 instructor and Qualified Mentor. He is honored to serve Healing Touch Program as Vice Chair of the Ethics Committee. Jerry works at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, College of Letters and Science, Physics Department as a Research Instrument Maker creating designs, devices, and prototypes for research projects. He is a Certified Ayurveda Educator, an Ayurveda Practitioner Intern and serves as the Energy Therapy Director for Kanyakumari Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness Center, teaching Yoga Instructors, and Ayurveda students Pranic Healing, Chi Kung, Chitta Nadi Meditation, and Chakra Balancing classes. He has been involved in the Martial Arts for 30+ years, now mainly focusing on Tai Chi and Chi Kung. He wishes to empower you to speak your truths, be nice and be well. Relax, breathe, flow.

 

Mark Costa

After a 30 year military career and over 10 years in adult education at a trades’ school, Mark entered his third career in the healing arts, becoming a HTCP in March 2015 and completing Level 6 in November 2015.  Introduced to HT first as a recipient he was invited to join the healers.  He and his bride Kathy, also a HTCP, formed 4 Hands 2 Serve, LLC to pursue their mission to introduce military families to the benefits of HT by offering complementary sessions and self-care workshops. As a team they volunteer in a local hospital’s complementary therapies services, as well as two healing sanctuaries in the Hampton Roads area of VA.  They travel nationwide offering veterans’ gatherings with HT sessions, committed to serve those who serve and their families.  Their purpose to help others achieve their potential and enhance their wellbeing.

 

Yolanda Boule DouglasYolande Boulé Douglas HTCP/I

Yolande is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in Québec City, Canada. Yolande received a bachelor degree from Ball State University in Muncie Indiana and a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch New England, Keene, New Hampshire. Yolande teaches Healing Touch Levels 1 through 5. She is a member of HTPA: Healing Touch Professional Association, HTAC: Healing Touch Association of Canada, where she served for three years as a Board Member, CHTF :Canadian Healing Touch Foundation presently a Board Member, Member of RITMA: Regroupement des Intervenants et des Thérapeutes en Médecine Alternative, Member of AAMFT: American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, Member of QAMFT: Quebec Association of Marriage and Family Therapists as well as the Member of OPTCFTSQ : Ordre professionel des Thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux et des travailleurs sociaux du Québec. Yolande enthusiastically offers Healing Touch presentations to help promote Healing Touch in Québec. Yolande teaches both in English and in French. For many years, Yolande served as a leader with the Boy's Scout of America and many other volunteer activities. 

 

Karolyn Howard

Karolyn Howardhas 20 plus years as an energetic psychotherapist working with women, children & families.  Her vision of people’s potential and talents along with her empathy and concern for people has always served to make a difference in their lives.  Certification as a Practitioner and Instructor with Healing Touch became natural next steps in her "Adventure of Life".   As a Healing Touch Instructor and Mentor, Karolyn is passionate about sharing how Healing Touch can enhance the lives of her students as well as the clients she sees in her private practice.   Karolyn lives in the western suburbs of Chicago and enjoys being in Nature, photography, painting, writing, 7 grandchildren and 3 King Charles Cavaliers.

 

Cynthia Hutchison

Cynthia Hutchison, DNSc, RN, MSN, HTCP/I

Cynthia Hutchison is the Educational Program Director of the Healing Touch ProgramTM. In the early 1980s, she began studying natural health and energy therapies. She is an avid student of spirituality and energy medicine. As a doctorally-prepared nurse from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. (1987), Cynthia is also knowledgeable in the mainstream health sciences. With a master's degree as a clinical specialist in mental health, she has maintained a private practice in Healing Touch for many years. In 1995, Cynthia initiated the research program for Healing Touch and became the first Director of Research. She was invited by Janet Mentgen (founder of HT) in 2003 to serve as the Assistant Program Director. Cynthia became the Program Director in May of 2005, several months before Janet's death. She brings much positivity, enthusiasm, and creativity to her classes. Boulder, Colorado has been her home since 1993.

 

Nancy LesterNancy Lester, RN, BSPA, LMT, HN-BC, HTCP/I
HTP Ethics Committee Vice-Chair

Nancy, founder and president of Healing Arts Inc., has been in a holistic private practice for over 15 years providing healing touch, holistic nursing consultations, and therapeutic massage.   She is a Certified Healing Touch Instructor since 1998 teaching levels 1-4, Healing Touch for Self Care, and Anatomy for Healers.  Nancy brings to her work over 25 years of nursing experience including critical care, hospice and home care, rehabilitation and hospital administration.  She has been a student of holistic studies and spirituality since the early 80 ’s. Nancy has presented workshops on starting a business, dream interpretation, and loves learning from her students and clients as well as teaching.   As a qualified mentor, she supports monthly practice sessions and mentoring meetings in her community.   She is a member of HTPA.  Nancy feels honored to be chair of the ethics committee and to work with such heart centered and proficient peers.

 

Renata Maniac

Renata Maniaci, MPH, HTCP, LMT
HTP Ethics Committee Member

Renata is a holistic health practitioner living and working in Washington, DC. She founded her energy medicine-based health practice Hana Healing Arts in 2014, and sees clients at three locations within the District of Columbia. Renata received her MPH from Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health, and her BA from Tulane University in Anthropology and International Development. Before shifting into holistic health from the public health field, Renata worked with the Guttmacher Institute, and the UN Foundation where she focused on sexual & reproductive health, research, and education.  Renata is particularly enthusiastic about self-care, razor scootering, releasing 'that which no longer serves', Nutella, nurturing the inner child, and Harry Potter - with whom she shares her birthday. She is honored to be a part of this heart-centered community, and humbled to work within the harmonious intersection that is science and magic - the discovered, and the heretofore unseen.

 

Monica Nebauer

My name is Dr Monica Nebauer (RN, PHD) and I am a Registered Nurse and Midwife and work as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Australian Catholic University in Brisbane, Australia. I have been practicing energy work for the past 22 years, and started learning Healing Touch in 1994. I have been a certified practitioner of HT since 1997, and an instructor since early 2008. I practice HT in my healing room at home with family, friends and clients, and I also practice HT at the University with colleagues and sometimes, students. I am delighted, humbled, and honoured to be representing Australia on the Ethics Committee of Healing Touch Program and to have the opportunity of working with such a wonderful, knowledgeable, and heart-centred group of HT colleagues.

 

Jean Pruett

Jean is a Charter Member of the Healing Touch Program Association, Pastoral Psychotherapist, Healing Touch Certified Practitioner and Certified Instructor, Administrative Staff Chaplain and Healing Touch Specialist at Carolinas HealthCare System. Jean holds a B.A. in Sociology from Winthrop University, an M.R.E. in Education and Social Work from New Orleans Theological Seminary, a M.Div. in Theology from Erskine Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. in Marriage and Family Studies from Erskine Theological Seminary.

 

Katrina ShibataKatrina Shibata, MPH, CHES, HTCP
HTP Ethics Committee Chair

Katrina is honored to serve the Healing Touch community as Chair of the Ethics Committee.  Katrina is co-founder of Healing Touch Japan and serves as Executive Director of Be Genki International, an organization which works to spread the “GenKi” Concept - a Japanese word meaning - when energy is flowing at it’s natural state, you can be the best person you can be in that moment.  She is a Certified Health Education Specialist, with experience in public health research and program development for international non-profit organizations.  Katrina is a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner, Healing Touch Instructor-in-Training and Healing Touch mentor, having studied this work since 2008 in both Japan and the United States.
